Henriette Davidis recognized as early as 1844 that the preparation of the food should not be regarded as a minor matter for health reasons alone.We can only agree with her and therefore named our restaurant after her. Here you can expect regional and international specialities, which are always prepared healthy.

Who was Henriette Davidis again?
She is considered the most famous author of German cookbooks for the 19th and 20th centuries.
Her book "Praktisches Kochbuch" could be found in every kitchen of a good housewife and cook at that time. Even though some of her competitors have already published similar books, Henriette won out with her practical tips.
Even today you can still find old copies of her book. Often with handwritten notes, by which one recognizes that the book was inherited within the families.
This cookbook was not Henriette's only success.
Henriette has published a series of textbooks that have taught young girls practical household management, from the doll cooker to the family mother with her own staff .
A woman with great ambitions, practical tips and today's exhibition in the German Cookbook Museum in Westfalenpark - we dedicate our restaurant to her!
